WET (Short Film)
WET was shot on location in Chicago. Without the ability to get permits for the crowded, renowned locations in the heart of the city, the filmmakers had to use “guerilla” tactics with only a mid-size crew and film camera quickly and efficiently. The result: beautiful, seemingly big-budget shots to facilitate the film’s style. To create the streaming water visual effect a custom rig was crafted by our team to constantly pump heated water onto the lead actor. In addition, a custom lens attachment was constructed to allow for shots from the character's point of view.
The accompanying DVD packaging for the film was created to communicate the visual style of the film in an imaginative manner: giving the effect that each had been held in Walter's water-streaming hands. With the need of a small run in mind, each individual DVD, slip, and insert was hand-drenched in water giving each package its own unique look.
